The lawsuit also accused Brooks of violating a design patent by copying the foam-molding technology Puma uses in its Nitro shoes. Brooks uses the term ‘nitro’ to describe their “nitro-infused shoes” and called Puma’s allegations as being baseless. Puma released their Nitro range of running shoes in 2021.
