Puma suing Brooks over infringement of the ‘Nitro’ running shoe trademark

According to Reuters, Puma are suing Brooks over the use of the ‘Nitro’ trademark. The lawsuit also accused Brooks of violating a design patent by copying the foam-molding technology Puma uses in its Nitro shoes. Brooks uses the term ‘nitro’ to describe their “nitro-infused shoes” and called Puma’s allegations as being baseless. Puma released their Nitro range of running shoes in 2021.
